A Charlie Brown Christmas is a musical animated television special based on the comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. The movie is based on Charlie Brown, who finds himself depressed despite the onset of the cheerful holiday season. Lucy suggests that Charlie directs the Christmas play, but his friends in the process ignore him. The story touches on the over-commercialization of Christmas, and serves to remind viewers of the true meaning of Christmas.
