Rare Michael Jackson And Freddie Mercury Duet Released

33 years ago two of the world’s biggest music entities in Queen and Michael Jackson linked for a song titled “Their Must Be More To Life Than This.” The song was on ice for three decades, but will be released on the upcoming album Queen Forever, which hits stores on November 11th.

The song features pop stars Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury and was finished by famed producer William Orbit. The producer meshed multiple sessions, including one where Mercury traveled to Los Angeles to record Jackson’s vocals. Orbit was delighted to bring together this masterpiece. “When I first played it in my studio I opened a trove of delights provided by the greatest of musicians,” said Orbit. “Hearing Michael Jackson’s vocals was stirring. So vivid, so cool, and poignant, it was like he was in the studio singing live. With Freddie’s vocal solo on the mixing desk, my appreciation for his gift was taken to an even higher level.” Catch the Mercury-Jackson version of the track below:
